Primary BioAg Innovations (PBI) is excited to announce that Jung Woo has joined the company to further develop PBI’s unique model in Integrated Crop Solutions including BioProcducts in APAC and globally.
Jung has a broad range of his well-rounded educational background in Science, Business Management and People Management: graduated from Seoul National University with his B.A. in Agricultural Biology (1995) and majored in Plant pathology for his M.S at the same university (1997), then extended his academic background by completing his MBA at Kelley Business School, Indiana University (2008) and his PhD in International Business at Kyunghee University, Korea (2017).
Jung has around 26 years’ experience in the crop protection industry and plant health industry, having involved in various functions/levels in the different organizations. He started his career in a leading crop protection company as a researcher focused on Biologicals in Korea in Jan 1997 and experienced the agricultural public sector as a plant quarantine officer till June 2000. In addition, he joined one of major MNCs in Korea and took his roles in Marketing as Crop manager/Product manager, Strategy Planning as PMO, and R&D center as Head of R&D till Aug 2013. Thereafter, he extended his career to the Plant Health industry for a USA based player as a Business manager in North-East Asia till May 2016 and a Canadian biostimulant producer as Business Director in East Asia till June 2020.
Through his extensive work experiences, he has good agronomic expertise in various crops of key countries in Asia and a good understanding of farmers/market demands, Ag business environments, and distribution channels in key Asian markets. He has well-established networks and experiences in agricultural areas to help MNCs to build up their Entry strategy/Legal entity, Product registration strategy, Go-To-Market strategy, and strong local team and distribution channel partners in the Asian market.
